| At least three (3) subjects at CSEC with a minimum classification of Grade IV in Mathematics and or English. |
| The Ordinary Diploma in Science (ODS) from the Government Technical Institute (Pass with Credit) |
| Persons who have successfully completed the Pharmacy Assistant Training Programme offered by the Ministry of Health. |
| Any other appropriate level of qualification from a recognized institution, and which is acceptable to the University of Guyana. Prior knowledge of CSEC Chemistry or Physics
would be an asset. |
| Mature applicants who have passed the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE) and are employed in Law Enforcement Agencies or the Military; independent consultants working in the fields of Forensic Science, Judiciary, Law, Policing, Intelligence, Banking, Claims Investigation, or with Investigative Agencies. |
| Mature applicants with at least five (5) years of work experience in the field of law enforcement. |
| Any other qualification equivalent to any of the above. |
