Bachelor of Science Environmental Health

Mature students over 26 years with five years’  experience will be eligible once they satisfy the University's internal requirements (UGEE)

Bachelor of Science Medical Laboratory Science

Mature students (26 years and over) may be considered provided they have at least three (3) years continuous relevant experience and would have been successful at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE)

Bachelor of Science Medical Imaging

Mature students (26 and over) with a minimum of five years relevant experience, and a minimum of grade 3 or grade C at CSEC/GCE 'O' Level respectively in English Language and Mathematics and must be successful at University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE)

Bachelor of Science Medical Rehabilitation (Speech-Language Therapy & Audiology)

Passes in three (3) subjects at CSEC (General Proficiency) Examination, grades I, II, or III (or equivalent) which must include English Language, Mathematics, and at least one of the following science subjects: Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry or Integrated Science (single award), together with the Government of Guyana Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate, obtained through the 18 months programme offered by the Ministry of Health, Georgetown. The certificate must have been obtained with a minimum of 60% in both the written and practical sessions, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant must have been served.  Students must also have a pass in the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).

Mature students (26 years and over) will be considered for admission to the programme provided that they have two (2) subjects at CSEC (General Proficiency) Examination, grades I, II, or III (or equivalent) which must include English Language, a Science subject or Mathematics and three (3) years continuous relevant experience. They must also have a pass in the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE).

Bachelor of Science Nursing

Persons of mature age (26 years and over) are also eligible, provided they have had a minimum of five (5) years and relevant working experience and are successful at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE); AND A certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse (preference will be given to a candidate who is a Registered Nurse and also a Registered Midwife) with the Nursing Council of Guyana or any other foreign registration which is acceptable to both the Nursing Council and the University of Guyana OR a certificate from the University of Guyana showing completion of the Medex Programme and also registration to practice as a Medex.

Bachelor of Science Pharmacy

Persons who have successfully completed the Pharmacy Assistant Training Programme offered by the Ministry of Health and possess a minimum pass grade of Grade C at GCE 'O' Level or CSEC (General Proficiency) Grade III in English Mathematics and a Science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Integrated Science- Double or Single award) in addition to two (2) years continuous relevant work experience after qualification, and are successful at the University of Guyana Entrance examination (UGEE)
