Who can qualify for UGEE?

Generally, the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE) is for the following categories of students:

  • mature students, 26 years and over, with relevant professional experience
  • graduates from Burrowes School of Arts and Critchlow Labour College who do not possess the required passes at CSEC/GCE
  • Registered Nurses who do not possess the required passes in English Language, Mathematics and a Science Subject

However, Faculties or Institutes might have other criteria which candidates must satisfy to register for particular programmes.

 

For how long is UGEE valid?

A pass at the UGEE is valid for two years after which the holder must retake the exam.
